Beach Boxes Invasive plant brochure Gopher Tortoise Roadway Signs Installed Committee members had a discussion regarding the installation on the Gopher Tortoise Roadway Signs. (7) NEW BUSINESS Rodenticide Speaker: Joanna Fitzgerald, Director of Von Arx Wildlife Hospital City of Marco Island Florida Page 1 Beach and Coastal Resources Meeting Minutes - Final April 19, 2023 Advisory Committee Joanna Fitzgerald, Director of Von Arx Wildlife Hospital presented a anticoagulant rodenticides killing non-target species information. (8) STAFF COMMUNICATIONS For the next committee meeting Kathryn Grigsby will provide the committee members with some proposed locations for the purchase of more Gopher Tortoise decals. Sea Turtle Open House Sea Turtle Open House hosted by Kathryn Grigsby and Code Enforcement in the Magistrate room on 4/20/2023 at 5pm. Beautification Committee Beautification Committee to provide an updated presentation to the BchCRAC committee. (9) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 10:00 A.M..) Nanette Rivera expressed her thoughts and concerns regarding the use of second generation rodenticide. She also expressed her concerns on the use of jet skis in theiIsland. (10) NEXT MEETING: CONFIRMATION & ATTENDANCE May 17, 2023 @ 9:00am (11) PROPOSED AGENDA TOPICS FOR NEXT MEETING Next meeting proposed agenda topics: Budget. Beach Trees. Discussion on more Gopher Tortoise Roadway signs. Chair Boehner mentioned there will be another rodenticide speaker. Member Rasmussen suggested adding a discussion on resilience at the beach.
