(4) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA MOTION by Member Scarpa, seconded by member Morze that this Agenda be Approved. The motion failed BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 6- Barber, Member Morze, Vice-Chair O'Donnell, Member Ryan, Member Scarpa and Chair Boehner (5) APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES October18th meeting minutes have been tabled for the next Beach and Coastal Resources Advisory Committee meeting minutes due to missing information. ID 23-3257 October18, 2023 Meeting Minutes (6) PUBLIC COMMENT (TIME CERTAIN 9:05 A.M..) Vice-Chair: Shelli Connelly with the Beautification Advisory Committee presented to the committee some updated information on the Winterberry and Maple Beach Access improvements. City Citizens expressed their concern with the vegetation growth at the Beach. (7) OLD BUSINESS Council Member Rich Blonna shared some information on the Committees updated Ordinances and resolutions. Budget Chair Boehner updated some Budget Information: Flashing signs were put up which used part of the budge money. Beach Clean-Up 12/2/2023 @ Tigertail Beach Next Beach Clean-up will be on 12/2/2023 at the Tigertail Beach. Goal Workshop with Councilmember Blonna 12/13/2023 Goal Workshop with Councilmember Blonna will be on 12/13/2023. City of Marco Island Florida Page 1 Beach and Coastal Resources Meeting Minutes - Final November 15, 2023 Advisory Committee (8) NEW BUSINESS “No Flushing” beach bird signs There was a discussion regarding replacement on a No Flushing” beach bird signs. Flashing sign purchase There was a discussion regarding purchasing more Flashing signs to put up at S.Barfield and Winterberry. Rodenticide plan (education, outreach, ordinance) Member Scarpa mentioned that there will be a meeting on November 30th at Mackle Park. (9) STAFF COMMUNICATIONS None. Gopher Tortoise sign locations There was a discussion on the relocation of Gopher Tortoise signs. Member Rasmussen questioned regarding if the Committee has work plans for the Rodenticide control, Tortoise protection, and Beach Tortoise protection. ID 23-3255 BchCRAC meeting presentation (10) NEXT MEETING: CONFIRMATION & ATTENDANCE Next meeting will be the Goal Workshop with Councilmember Blonna on 12/13/2023. Next Official meeting will be on January 17 2024. (11) PROPOSED AGENDA TOPICS FOR NEXT MEETING Proposed Agenda Topics for next meeting: Beach Boxes material and installment. AWE Bird Flashing Signs. (12) OTHER COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS Vice Chair O'Donnell requested the Rodenticide regulation law.
