Gabriel City Clerk: Laura Litzan City Council Meeting Minutes - Final October 24, 2019 1. Call to Order Chair Brechnitz called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 6- Councilor Reed, Councilor Honig, Chair Brechnitz, Councilor Young, Councilor Grifoni and Vice-Chair Rios Absent: 1- Councilor Roman Also Present City Manager Mike McNees Chief of Police Tracy Frazzano City Attorney Alan L. Gabriel & Brooke L. Ehrlich, Esq. City Clerk Laura Litzan 3. Business - Heather Comparini vs. City of Marco Island ID 19-549 Notice of Special-Called Meeting and Attorney-Client “Closed” Session Chair Brechnitz announced the Marco Island City Council and attorneys for the City will meet in a “closed” attorney-client session. The subject matter of the meeting shall be settlement negotiations and strategy related to the litigation matter styled: HEATHER COMPARINI VS. CITY OF MARCO ISLAND CASE NO.: 19CA3704. Pursuant to FL Statutes 286.011(8)(a), the attendees will be Chair Brechnitz, Vice-Chair Rios, Councilor Jared Grifoni, Councilor Larry Honig, Councilor Howard Reed, Councilor Sam Young, City Manager Mike McNees, Chief of Police Tracy Frazzano, City Attorney Alan L. Gabriel and Brooke L. Ehrlich, Esq., with the Law Firm of Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman P.L. The Special Meeting of the City Council will be recessed for this session. These officials shall meet in private for approximately forty-five (45) minutes. At the conclusion of the attorney-client session, the Special City Council meeting will be reconvened. This meeting will be attended and recorded by a certified court reporter. The transcripts shall be made part of the public record upon conclusion of the litigation. (THE MEETING WENT INTO RECESS AT 4:07 P.M. IT IS NOTED FOR THE RECORD THAT THE SAME COUNCILORS WERE PRESENT WHEN THE MEETING RECONVENED AT 5:09 P.M.) When the meeting reconvened, Chair Brechnitz announced that the "closed" attorney-client session was terminated and the meeting was adjourned. 4.
