Roll Call Present: 7- Councilor Blonna, Councilor Irwin, Councilor Brechnitz, Vice-Chair Folley, Councilor Rola, Councilor Babrowski and Chair Grifoni Also Present Michael McNees, City Manager Casey Lucius, Assistant to the City Manager and Acting City Clerk Alan L. Gabriel, City Attorney Tracy Frazzano, Police Chief Chris Byrne, Fire Chief Daniel J. Smith, Community Affairs Director Tim Pinter, Public Works Director Jose Duran, Information Technology Director Jeff Poteet, Water & Sewer General Manager Mary Holden, Senior Planner Martin Luna, Video/Broadcast Technician Jim Kornas, Recording Specialist 3. Business - Topics of Common Interest The Council met without a predetermined agenda to share thoughts, comments and perspectives on a free-flowing range of topics. Conducted in a manner similar to the 'Council Communications' portion of the Council's regular meeting agenda, the following topics were raised and discussed: - the status and evolution of the Veterans' Community Park Project - continued bike path development and lighting extending to the Goodland Bridge - preparing the public beach access areas for the summer tourist season - the adequacy of waterway navigation markers and coordinated off-island litter management - the status of the recently-revised Noise Ordinance - potential re-instatement of the Island's Independence Day festivities - current and anticipated traffic and parking adequacy for vehicles and bicycles - on-Island public transportation - future residential / commercial development along Hwy 951 and its effect on Marco Island 4. Adjournment At the conclusion of the Council's discussion, Chair Grifoni adjourned the Workshop at 1:00 P.M.
