. City of Margaret August 6, 2019 6:03 P.M. In attendance: Councilman Perry, Councilman Carter, Councilman Ray, Councilman Chapman, and Mayor Howard Absent: Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre Prayer: Mr. Barker Mayor Howard called Meeting to order Discussion Mayor Howard asked for approval of minutes for July 23, 2019. Councilman Perry made the Motion to approve minutes for July 23, 2019. Councilman Carter seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. Barker presented his report to the City Council. Inspections have a YTD Revenue of $188,33.63. Council Chapman arrived to Meeting at 6:12 PM. The Council opened the floor to 3 concerned residents in the Sunrise Subdivisions. The residents voiced concern about the condition of the roads in the Sunrise Subdivisions. The Residents felt as if the roads should have been asphalted. Mayor Howard informed the residents that the roads in Sunrise have never been asphalted and the average money received from property taxes in the Sunrise Subdivision is $57.00 a year. Teja Peeples the City Clerk read the Census Partnership Resolution to the Council. The Council was also presented with the tobacco stamps price comparison because the local stores do not have the City of Margaret stamps on any of the cigarettes being sold in their stores. Teja Peeples also explain the quotes that were received on the purchase of business license software. Harris Government pricing is $15675.00 with an  a annual fee of &1750.00 and ETA pricing is a 3500.00 yearly with a 175.00 a month monitoring fee. Councilman Perry inquired about the 3-way Stop Sign to be placed in the Brookhaven Subdivision and the statue of the Subdivision Rules and Regulations. Mayor Howard informed Councilman Perry that those are still in the works. Mr. Barker gave the Council an update on the progress of the City Hall. The sheetrock should be up and they should have permanent power this week. Councilman Chapman made Motion to adjourn. Motion seconded by Councilman Perry.
