. City of Margaret September 24, 2019 6:00 P.M. In attendance: Councilman Perry, Councilman Carter, Councilman Ray, and Mayor Howard Absent: Councilman Chapman and Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre Prayer: Mr. Barker Mayor Howard called Meeting to order Discussion Mayor Howard asked for approval of minutes for September 3, 2019. And Special Meeting held on September 6, 2019. Councilman Carter made the Motion to approve minutes for September 3, 2019 & September 6, 2019. Councilman Perry seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Moore a resident of Brookhaven has a concern about the road, she lives on. Mayor Howard will contact Daryl Pittard the developer because the road Mrs. Moore lives on has not been accepted by the City of Margaret. Councilman Perry made the Motion for the City to pay the E911 fee which is $39074.00, Juvenile fee which is $2180.00 and the EMA fee which is $154.00 for the 2020 year. The Motion was seconded by Councilman Ray. Motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Cinglio another resident of the Brookhaven Subdivision feels that the City is not holding the builders responsible for the roads they are working on. Mayor Howard will contact City Attorney Erskine Funderburg and have Erskine contact Mr. Pittard who has taken over for Four Star. Mrs. Cinglio still feels that the City needs to be more diligent when it comes to builders and road conditions. Mrs. Moore is not happy about the City being able to enforce road issues because the roads have not been accepted by the City of Margaret. Mrs. Cinglio asked whether or not the HOA have any funds to make builders have more accountability. Mr. Barker gave the Council an update on the progress of the New City Hall. Pedro Pino informed the Council of the success of the Health Fair, and also of the raffle sponsored by the Lions Club to send a child with Diabetes to a Diabetes Camp. The raffle tickets are $10.00. Councilman Perry would like look into where the third stop sign can be placed in Brookhaven. Councilman Carter has nothing. Councilman Ray gave an update on basketball courts. Councilman Ray informed the City that the City saved $1700.00 to refinish basketball goals instead of replacing them. Councilman Perry made the Motion to adjourn. Councilman Ray seconded the Motion.
