In attendance: Councilman James Chapman, Councilman Darius Crump, Councilman Matthew Tortorice, Councilman Jonathan Ray, and Mayor Daryl McIntyre Absent: District Seat 3 Vacant Prayer: Mr. Clyde Beverly Pledge of Alliance Adoption of Agenda Councilman James Chapman moved to approve the agenda. Councilman Darius Crump seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously. Discussion: Councilman Matthew Tortorice moved to allow for the adoption of the Comprehensive Five-Year Plan from the RPCGB. Councilman Jonathan Ray seconded the Motion. The Motion passed with three yeses and two noes. Councilman Matthew Tortorice moved to have a public hearing at the next Council meeting October 15, 2024, on the redistricting map option one, including Brett Isom. Councilman Jonathan Ray seconded the Motion. The Motion passed with three yeses and two noes. Assistant Fire Chief Brandon Frazier discussed the purchase of a fire truck for the fire department and expressed concerns. Councilman James Chapman presented the Council with a donation request of $5000.00 from Margaret Elementary to purchase benches and view sonic boards. Councilman James Chapman moved to adjourn. Motion dies from a lack of second. Mayor Daryl McIntyre asks for comments: Councilman Matthew Tortorice informed the Council that the City of Margaret had been awarded a grant to repair Brookhaven Dr. up to Ryan Cir for $350,000.00. Councilman James Chapman moved to adjourn. Motion dies from lack of second. A resident offered to make benches and donate to Margaret Elementary. Councilman James Chapman moved to adjourn.
