COMMITTEE REPORTS: 20200989 Audit Committee Audit Committee Chair Mike Wilson to consider setting an Audit Committee meeting date for BLW annual audit review prior to January 11, 2021 board meeting. CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT: 20200990 2021 Board Meeting Schedule Discussion and approval of a 2021 Board meeting schedule taking into consideration any conflicts. Motion to approve the 2021 Board meeting schedule, with the following amendments: -The July 2021 has been cancelled. -The September meeting will be changed to September 2, 2021. The motion was made by Board member Torras, seconded by Board member Summerour, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Vote: 6 – 0 – 0 Approved 20200991 2021 Board Committee Appointments Current committee membership and discussion on Board Committee appointments for 2021, with follow-up the first of next year. Board members were asked to let Mayor Tumlin know on which committees they would like to serve. This matter will be brought back to the next meeting for approval. Discussed 20200992 2021 Invocation/ Pledge Responsibilities Discussion of Invocation/ Pledge responsibilities for the 2021 Board meetings. Discussion was held regarding the Invocation/ Pledge responsibilities for the 2021 Board meetings. Board member Lee will give the Invocation for the January meeting. Discussed 20200993 MEAG Business Report Report on Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) business during the month of November 2020. Reported City of Marietta Page 4 Printed on 12/8/2020 11:07:28AM BOARD OF LIGHTS AND WATER Meeting Minutes December 7, 2020 A motion was made by Board member Wilson, seconded by Board member Coyle, to suspend the rules of order to add an item to the agenda to discuss and possible take action regarding the City Council Resolution Approving Payments for Partial Reimbursement of Qualified Expenses Incurred by Eligible Employees as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The motion carried by the following vote: Vote: 6 – 0 – 0 Approved (See agenda item 20201038) 20201038 Resolution Approving Partial Reimbursement Payments Discussion regarding the City Council Resolution Approving Payments for Partial Reimbursement of Qualified Expenses Incurred by Eligible Employees as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Discussion was held. Motion to approve a recommendation, as to the BLW portion of the Partial Reimbursement Payments, that City Council act favorably towards the Marietta Power and Water employees. The motion was made by Board member Torras, seconded by Board member Coyle, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Vote: 6 – 0 – 0 Approved VIII.
