VILLAGE OF MARQUETTE GREEN LAKE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Caucus Minutes, January 10, 2022 –Marquette Village Hall The Caucus was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Cybul. The Village Board and 11 citizens were in attendance. The number of eligible voters present totaled 16. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law was noted. President Art Cybul opened the Caucus. President Cybul appointed Deborah Flagel as Chairperson to conduct the caucus proceedings. The caucus minutes were recorded by Clerk, Julie Powell. Chairperson Flagel asked for volunteers to be ballot clerks if the ballot process was necessary. Paula Gilbertson and Laura Michalos volunteered. Chairperson Flagel announced that drawing a card from a deck of cards (NO Aces or Jokers) with the highest card winning would be the method used to break a tie if necessary. Chairman Flagel called for nominations for the office of Village President. Peter Michalos nominated Art Cybul and Renee Cybul second the nomination. Libby Nehring nominated Mike Wilson and Carie Hill second the nomination. After two calls for any other nominations, Chairman Flagel declared ‘nominations are closed’. Required paper work was handed out to nominees. Chairman Flagel called for nominations for the office of Village Trustee. Vickie Arneson nominated Tony Deiss and Dick Krueger second the nomination. Carie Hill nominated Richie Semrow and Libby Nehring second the nomination. After two calls for any other nominations, Chairman Flagel declared ‘nominations are closed’. Required paper work was handed out to nominees. Election will be held April 5, 2022. Motion to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. by Peter Michalos and Second by Dick Krueger. Motion passed. (Unanimous).
