VILLAGE OF MARQUETTE GREEN LAKE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Special Budget Hearing Minutes, December 1, 2022 - Village Hall The Special Budget Hearing for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call: President – Art Cybul - present Clerk – Christina Garry - present Trustee – Peter Michalos - present Treasurer – Paula Gilbertson – present Trustee Tony Deiss- present Deputy Clerk-Deborah Flagel-present Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places - Village Hall door, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage and emailed to Berlin Journal Newspapers and on the Village website. Approve Agenda: Motion to approve the agenda, Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Discuss / Approve Amended Budget: The Department of Revenue (DOR) requires a decrease adjustment on the 2022 Levy Limit Worksheet for the Village of Marquette, as stated in this email: “Based on information the Department of Revenue (DOR) has received, the Village of Marquette had emergency medical services through the Southern Green Lake County Ambulance Service (SGLCAS), of which the Village was paying the SGLCAS for. As of January 1, 2022, Green Lake County has established a County-wide EMS, which resulted in a transfer of services between the County and the municipalities. Therefore, on the Village's 2022 levy limit worksheet, you are required to decrease the Village's levy in Section D Line J of the levy limit worksheet for this transfer of services. The amount provided to the DOR for the Village is $3,000.00. The Village will need to submit an amended 2022 levy limit worksheet, reporting a negative adjustment of $3000.00 in Section D Line J.” After discussion a motion was made to decrease the budget from $53,333.00 to $50,333.00 by lowering the amount of $3000.00 in the category of Street Construction (122-53315) from $15,000.00 to $12,000.00, to meet the Department of Revenue requirement, and submit an amended 2022 Levy Limit Worksheet to DOR, Deiss/Michalos.
