VILLAGE OF MARQUETTE GREEN LAKE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Regular Meeting Minutes, February 13, 2023 - Village Hall The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:01 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: President – Art Cybul - present Clerk – Christina Garry –present Trustee – Peter Michalos - present Treasurer – Paula Gilbertson – present Trustee Tony Deiss - present There were 4 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places - Village Hall door, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website and emailed to Berlin Journal Newspapers. A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos /Deiss Motion passed. (Unanimous). Approval of Minutes sent to Board Members: All minutes are posted on the Village Website and in the kiosks as a draft for the Board and the public to review. No changes made. A motion was made to approve the Regular Board Meeting Minutes on January 12, 2023 as presented. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous). The Treasurer’s report was read. A Motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Krueger/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Approve Payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9591-9612 in the amount of $17,644.75 plus $3,900.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for a Grand total of $17,644.75. Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts in the amount of $21,544.75 to the General Fund. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Citizen Comments – Time Limits and Rules Apply: Janet commented on location of the park and maintenance on the equipment. Rudy commented on this year is the 350th year of the Upper Fox River celebration, maybe the village would like to do something special for when they come into the Village. Dick was wondering about the proximity of property line to the road what was owned by home owners. Discuss / Approve: Park & Funding Updates: Art spoke about the park updates, he recently sent a list of equipment that the village was interested in putting in at the Park, to Play in Wisconsin. Also he reached out to UW/ River Falls to see if a couple of students would like to work with the village in the processes of measuring and drawing up plans for the Park. Pete provided update on grant request from Green Lake basic Needs foundation. Road Bid Process: Art made a comment about looking into which roads are worse than other now than last year. Getting a total cost on repair of the streets or just doing an over lay on streets. Lawn Mowing Update: Tony reviewed lawn mowing locations and References with Nick. Pier Updates: Tony commented, no pier at Charlevoix until April 15th or later depending on weather. Cemetery Flag Update: Tony, did receive new American Flags for the Village. Board Reminders/Updates: Clerk will try and get ahold of Ray Tonn for trimming trees by truck garage. Reminder of the Feb 21st and April 4th Election. Motion to adjourn at 8:08 p.m. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous).
