VILLAGE OF MARQUETTE GREEN LAKE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Regular Meeting Minutes, March 13, 2023 - Village Hall The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: President – Art Cybul - present Clerk – Christina Garry –present Trustee – Peter Michalos - present Treasurer – Paula Gilbertson – not present Trustee Tony Deiss - present There were 4 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places - Village Hall door, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website and emailed to Berlin Journal Newspapers. A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos /Deiss Motion passed. (Unanimous). Approval of Minutes sent to Board Members: All minutes are posted on the Village Website and in the kiosks as a draft for the Board and the public to review. No changes made. A motion was made to approve the Regular Board Meeting Minutes on March 13, 2023 as presented. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). The Treasurer’s report was read by Deborah Flagel. A Motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Approve Payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9613-9639 in the amount of $1,388.93 plus $4,000.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for a Grand total of $5,388.93. Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts in the amount of $5,700.00 to the General Fund. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Citizen Comments – Time Limits and Rules Apply: Janet commented about the road conditions within the village. Discuss / Approve: Park & Funding Updates: Art spoke about park update, currently still waiting on some estimates for a break down cost of the park and the available UW/River Falls is putting an estimate together on possibly helping with the design and renderings. Art also will be applying for another grant to help with the playground costs. Board members discussed the dog on the loose in the Village. Tony discussed the pier planning and rock project; rock project can not start until May 1st materials for project will be brought in mid-April. It was suggested putting up signs in the kiosk by landing for fisherman on where to park their vehicles and trailers during this project. Board talked about up keep on the Cemetery CD, this issue was tabled for now until Sondalle Law Office gets back to the board on some questions and concerns. Board Reminders/Updates: The Clerk will be in contact with appraiser to set up the Open Book and Board of Review for May. LRIP bid is being posted in the paper. 350th Anniversary of the canoe trip group has been in contact with the Historical Society and they are having their annual meeting on April 15th and will be discussing details with the group about their trip.
