VILLAGE OF MARQUETTE GREEN LAKE COUNTY, WISCONSIN Regular Meeting Minutes, April 10th, 2023 - Village Hall The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: President – Art Cybul - present Clerk – Christina Garry –present Trustee – Peter Michalos - present Treasurer – Paula Gilbertson – present Trustee Tony Deiss - present There were 3 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places - Village Hall door, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website and emailed to Berlin Journal Newspapers. A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous). Approval of Minutes sent to Board Members: All minutes are posted on the Village Website and in the kiosks as a draft for the Board and the public to review. No changes made. A motion was made to approve the minutes as presented. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous). The Treasurer’s report was read was by Paula Gilbertson. Motion to approve the treasurer’s report as read. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9640-9665 in the amount of $7276.54 plus $5,000.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for a Grand total of $12,276.54. Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts the amount of $11,700.00 to the General Fund. Deiss/Michalos. (Unanimous). Citizen Comments–Time Limits and Rules Apply: Citizen comments were made. Discuss / Approve: Proposed a new Village Hall cleaner to CCG Cleaning board reviewed quote, approved the new cleaning company Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed (unanimous) Removed Deb Flagel from duty of Deputy Clerk, Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed (unanimous) Village Rummage Sale will be held on Memorial weekend for any resident wanting to participate. Motion passed Michalos/Deiss Motion passed (unanimous) Renewal of the cemetery CD was decided to renew with the bank with the best interest rate and for a term no longer than 12 months. Paula will be getting into contact with the banks to determine best rate. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed (unanimous) The date was set for Open Book for May 5th 10am to 12pm and Board of Review is set for May 15th 5pm to 7pm at the Village Hall. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed (unanimous). Organizational meeting is set for April 25th at 5pm. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed (unanimous). LRIP update, Clerk is sending out bid information to asphalt companies and will revisit bids next meeting. Open meeting for Park Plan set for April 19th at 6pm. Michalos/Deiss Motion passed (unanimous). Dredge Bank Project Update, the parking lot will be shutting down on April 24th so Michels Corporation can start hauling in equipment, rock, and the barge. They will be working for 5 days 7am to 7pm. Quick books – no update at this time will re-visit at next months meeting. Board Reminders/Updates: Tony took the Mowing company around to all the locations in the village to pick up debris and go over areas that need mowing. Art is working on the ARPA report and will submit before April 30th. Board talked about cleaning up some dead trees within the village. Motion to adjourn at 8:34 p.m. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed.
