Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, April 8, 2024 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 6 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Regular Minutes sent to Board members A motion to approve the minutes from the March meeting was made. The lawnmowing bid for Fast Eddie was amended to read pending reference check and pricing structure. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. Motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9897-9928 in the amount of $16,304.13 plus the $4,500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $20,804.13 Sexton payment Ck#9926 to Deborah Flagel was voided and reissued to have withholding taxes taken out. The Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts the amount of $20,900.00 to the General Fund. The motion to approve the bills, Michalos/ Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits A citizen expressed dissatisfaction regarding the recent road construction Forum meeting because it did not answer their questions and concerns to the project. They were advised to put their questions in an email and send it to the President and Derek Mashuda so they could have them to address at the next meeting. Election Results April 2, 2024 Total Voters: 42 Village President: Arthur Cybul 33 Village Trustee, Anthony Deiss 35. Discuss/Approve Appoint Clerk & Treasurer The motion to approve Susan Geraldi as Clerk and Paul Gilbertson as Treasurer was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Rummage Sale in May Saturday May, 25th 2024 will be the Village Rummage Sale and sign-up sheet will be put in the Post Office. Dumpster for Memorial Day and Metal Only at Truck Garage The clerk will contact Randy Engel and for metal scrapping and Chad at Waste Management to set up dates. Organizational Meeting/Open Book/Board of Review The organizational meeting and BOR training will be on Wednesday, April 24 th at 6 pm at the Village Hall. Open Book will be on May 7th from 10am-12pm. The Board of Review will be on May 14th from 6pm-8pm. The motion to approve these dates were made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Cemetery Road Work The estimate for the Cemetery work is $3250. The motion to approve the bid was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion approved. (unanimous) Lawnmowing Contract Bid The motion was made to approve Crew Outdoor Services, LLC. who has Cemetery experience and lowest bid. Michalos/Deiss, Motion approved. (unanimous) Sewer Clean Out for Village Hall The motion was made to approve Wolf Underground for $575. To clean out the sewer for the Village Hall. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed.
