Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, May 13, 2024 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by Trustee Peter Michalos at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-Absent Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 2 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Approval of Organizational Meeting Minutes A motion to approve the minutes was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Approval of April Minutes A motion to approve the minutes was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. Motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9829-9855 in the amount of $8592.64 plus the $4,500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $13,092.64. The Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts the amount of $11,500.00 to the General Fund. The motion to approve the bills, Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Citizen Comments - Time Limits A citizen expressed concern regarding the mowing at the cemetery. Discuss/Approve Ness Electric for lighting the basketball court. The motion to approve the installation of lighting was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Brat Fry for the Marquette Fire Dept. The motion to approve the application for the May 25th Brat Fry and July 4th Truck pull was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Tree Removal and Gravel Estimate for 6 trees to be removed by truck garage is $3000.00 and gravel by Village Hall shoulder driveway is $2000.00 for a total of $5000.00 from Sanders TLC. The motion to approve the work was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Sewer Line Repairs/Septic System The motion to table the discussion until September was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Updating emergency 911 map system The motion to write the resolution and record the deed was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Board Reminders/Updates Village Rummage Sale May 25th The motion to approve an Ad in the newspaper and reimburse Deb Flagel was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. 2 Yes 1 Absent Scrapping Hours & Dates Flyers listing hours and dates have been posted throughout the village and the website. The dumpster will be delivered Thursday, May 16 th. Pier Update Piers have been installed and donation monies collected were given to Treasurer for deposit Lawn Care Update Tony Deiss will contact Crew Outdoor lawncare regarding complaints about the cemetery and Village property.
