Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, February 10, 2025 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 3 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Caucus & Regular Minutes sent to Board members A motion to approve the Caucus minutes from the January meeting was made. Michalos/Deiss Motion passed. (Unanimous) A motion to approve the Regular minutes from the January meeting was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. The highway funds were not transferred from the general fund and Paula will make the appropriate transfers to the accounts for record keeping purposes and to have funds to pay the bills in the general fund. Two separate transfers will be made to pay the bills and taxes.  Motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were amended vouchers 1037- 1055 in the amount of $162,997.40 plus the $4500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $167,497.40. There will be 2 transfers to the general fund. One transfer is $9200.00. The other transfer for the taxes is $157,131.74. Motion to pay the bills as presented and transfer from the appropriate accounts the amount of $166,331.74 to the General Fund. The bills and the tax amounts will be transferred separately. The motion to approve the bills, Michalos/ Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits Citizen wanted to know why we are not putting an ad in newspaper regarding lawn care bid. Pending discussions with current provider it will be decided if there are no changes to last contract, then the board will renew contract. If changes to contract are made then the board will make a decision if an ad will be placed. Citizen wanted more detail and information on meeting minutes. It was expressed that details are provided in our monthly minute reports. Discuss/Approve: Approve new poll workers. The motion to approve new poll workers Vicki Arneson and Bev Plath. Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Renew Lawn Care Contract Due to a death in the family and unexpected changes it was decided to renew the Lawn Care Contract if there are no changes and if there are increases the Clerk will then put an ad for new bids in the paper. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (Unanimous) Board Reminders/Updates Election Update The election for the Spring Primary is Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Flag Due to the winds and the flags were removed until Spring and Tony Deiss will try to see if he can get a new Wisconsin Flag for outside the Village Hall. Pier Tony Deiss is getting an estimate on pier parts and there is a collection jar inside of Tucked Away for pier donations. Tree Trimming The county is trimming trees in the Village in preparation of earlier street repairs to be done. The Trustees will be conducting an inventory of how many culverts the Village needs to purchase before street construction starts in early Spring.
