Village of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin Regular Meeting Minutes, March 10, 2025 Call to Order The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call Roll Call: President-Art Cybul-present Clerk-Susan Geraldi-present Trustee-Peter Michalos-present Treasurer- Paula Gilbertson-present Trustee-Tony Deiss-present There were 8 citizens in attendance. Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck Garage, also posted on the Village Website. Approve Agenda A motion to approve the agenda was made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous) Approval of Regular Minutes sent to Board members A motion to approve the Regular minutes from the February meeting was made. Deiss/Michalos Motion passed. (Unanimous) Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s report was read. The motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous) Approve Payment of Bills Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 1056-1074 in the amount of $2141.35 plus the $4500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for the Grand total of $6641.35. There will be 1 transfer to the general fund of $6000. The motion to approve the bills, Deiss/Michalos, Motion passed. (unanimous) Citizen Comments - Time Limits Citizen informed the board that the stop sign is down on Cemetery Road. The board will look in to fixing the sign. Discuss/Approve: Presentation of changes to Ordinance 65 The President thanked Janet Burdick, Laura Michalos, Rudy Winthers, for all their work on researching and presenting an update version of the ordinance. The board will then review the changes and discuss it with the Village Attorney regarding fines. The President will be meeting with State Representative Alex Dallman for more clarification on a upcoming bill that will affect the Ordinance 65. Lawn Care Contract The Lawn Care Contract will be tabled until next month until negotiations with Farmer Kathy can be reached regarding pricing. Board Reminders/Updates Public Test and April, 1st 2025 Election The Public Test will be Tuesday, March 25th @ 1:00 pm at the Village Hall April 1st Election will be from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm Village Road Construction Update The construction is still scheduled to start in May and more meetings and information will be available soon. The Clerk will call Wolff’s Underground to get a date for the installation on the new drainage pipe in front of the Village Hall before the rainy season starts. Village Hall Cleaning The Clerk has been conducting interviews and setting up appointments for a new cleaning company for the Village Hall. Waste Management Dumpster The Clerk will contact the Waste Management Company and arrange a date for the dumpster to be delivered in May. Tax Bill Payments The Village will not be accepting anymore delinquent tax payments in the drop box. The resident must bring them to the Green Lake Treasurers Office.
