Pre-Local Board of Appeal and Equalization March 25, 2025 @ 4:30 p.m. Marshall City Council Chambers LBAE Members Present: Byrnes, Alcorn, Lozinski, Schroeder LBAE Members Absent: Moua-Leske, Schafer, Schwarz Staff Present: David Parsons, Charlie Vos, Sharon Hanson, E.J. Moberg, Steven Anderson, Chelsey Mathiowetz Mayor Byrnes called the work session to order at 4:30 p.m. Stated a quorum is present. The purpose of the meeting is for pre-workshop education prior to the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization. City Assessor Dave Parsons introduced the staff present and presented a PowerPoint slide show. Mayor Byrnes questioned foreclosure sales and if/when they would show up in the assessment sales data. Parsons indicated that typically any sale involved in a bank sale is left out of the study. Assessor Parsons gave a brief overview of the MN Department of Revenue Board of Appeal and Equalization Handbook.
