April 25, 2024 Budget Workshop A Budget Work Session was held at 4:00 pm on April 25, 2024, in Room 208, Conference Room, Municipal Building. Mayor Jones, Vice Mayor Rawls, Council Member Lawson, Council Member Pearson, Council Member Mitchell, City Manager Aretha Ferrell-Benavides, Chief Operating Officer Edena Reese-Atmore, Deputy Clerk Richard Phipps, Finance Director Mandy McGhee, Assistant Finance Director Crystal Ferguson, Public Information Officer Kendall Davis, the Commonwealth Attorney, the Clerk of Court, the City Treasurer, the Commissioner of Revenue and several outside agencies were in attendance. Budget Workshop –Council Members and staff reviewed the proposed budget presentations. No action was taken during the meeting.
