Town Board Minutes September 18, 2020 Minutes Special Town Council Meeting, Town of Massena Date/Time: Friday, September 18, 2020 1:00 PM Location: Massena Town Hall ATTENDANCE: MEMBER PRESENT ABSENT Supervisor Steve O’Shaughnessy X Councilman Albert Nicola X Councilwoman Susan Bellor X Councilman Samuel Carbone, Jr. X Councilman Robert Elsner X ALSO PRESENT: Frank Diagostino, Highway Superintendent/Airport Manager; Jeannine L. Brouse, Town Clerk The Supervisor opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. The Supervisor continued the meeting with a 15-Minute Public Comment Period. Executive Session. Motion by Councilman Carbone, Second by Councilman Nicola to conduct an Executive Session to discuss the hiring of particular individuals. Motion carried unanimously. The Board went into Executive Session at 1:02 PM Returned to open session at 1:10 PM Resolutions: Resolution # 145 - 2020 Authorizing the hiring of the following as Motor Equipment Operators for the Highway Department at a rate of $22.72 per hour, with a start date to be determined upon passing drug and alcohol testing and employment physical:  Mike McCabe*  Edward LaValley Motion by: Councilman Carbone Vote: Second by: Councilwoman Bellor Aye Nay Abstain Absent Supervisor O’Shaughnessy x Councilman Nicola x Councilwoman Bellor x Councilman Carbone, Jr. x Councilman Elsner x Motion is Carried Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 1:15 PM by unanimous consent.
