COMMON COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
March 26, 2024 at 6:30 PM
303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI
1. Call to Order/Roll Call- The Mauston Common Council met in a regular session on Tuesday,
March 26, 2024. Mayor Dennis Nielsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Members present
were Donna McGinley, Courtney Ferguson, Barb Hoilien, Rick Noe, and Darryl Teske by phone.
Absent were Leanna Hagen and Jim Allaby. Also present were Mayor Dennis Nielsen, Police
Chief Mike Zilisch, and Deputy Clerk Nicole Lyddy.
2. Pledge of Allegiance- Mayor Nielsen led the pledge.
3. Minutes- Motion made by Noe, Seconded by Hoilien to approve minutes of March 12,
2024. Motion carried.
4. Citizens' Address to the Council- None
5. Reports from Committees, Boards, and Commissions- None
6. Finance and Purchasing Committee Report- Motion made by Noe, Seconded by Teske to
approve vouchers of $276,790.63. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote.
7. Police Chief's February Report- Chief Zilisch gave his February report and answered any
questions anyone had.
8. City Council Report- none
9. Mayor's Report- Motion made by Noe, Seconded by McGinley to approve the Mayoral
appointment of Jesse Cox and John Nicksic to the Citizen's Participation Plan Committee. Motion
carried.
10. City Administrator's Report- In the absence of Haugh, Chief Zilisch said that there have been
some water leaks at City Hall, and Custom Foam was called to look into the problem and to expect
more information to follow.
11. Adjourn- Motion made by Hoilien, Seconded by Noe to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 6:35
pm.
