COMMITTEE MINUTES
October 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM
303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI
1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The Health, Welfare, and Sustainability Committee met on Tuesday,
October 29, 2024, at the Mauston City Hall 303 Mansion Street. Barb Hoilien called the meeting to
order at 10:00 a.m. Members present were Barb Hoilien, Mary Bender, and Donna
McGinley. Administrator Daron Haugh and Public Works Clerk Val Nelson were also present.
2. Minutes: Motion made by McGinley, seconded by Bender to approve the minutes of October 9,
2024. Motion carried.
3. Closed Session: Motion made by McGinley, seconded by Bender to go into Closed Session,
pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85(1)(e) for the Taxi RFS (Request for Proposals). Motion
carried.
4. Reconvene in Open Session: Motion made by McGinley, seconded by Hoilien to go into Open
Session. Motion carried.
5. Results of Closed Session: Proposals were received from Klearway, Abby Van, and Running
Inc. With none disqualified. Klearway was required to correct its price proposal, which was
submitted within the two-day deadline. All committee members confirmed their understanding of
the scoring factors and signed assurances.
Motion made by Hoilien, seconded by Bender to recommend council approval of the contract and
send “Notice of Intent to Award” Running Inc. Motion carried.
6. Adjourn: Motion made by McGinley and seconded by Bender to adjourn. Motion carried at 10:35
am.
