PLAN COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
March 05, 2026 at 6:30 PM
303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI
1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The Mauston Plan Commission meeting was called to order by Mayor
Darryl Teske at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Mauston City Hall. Members present
were Paul Coggins, Brandy Ellsworth, Phil Harrison, and Leonard Kluge. Mark Messer joined at
6:33 p.m. Trent Thayer joined by phone. Also present was Zoning Administrator Val Nelson.
2. Minutes: Motion by Ellsworth, seconded by Kluge, to approve the minutes of the October 23,
2025, meeting. Motion carried by voice vote.
3. Mauston Wrestling Club Conditional Use: There is no longer access to the lot from E. State
Street. The question of getting access was raised, specifically whether it would come from the City
or the Department of Transportation (DOT). Motion by Harrison, seconded by Kluge, to
recommend approval with the understanding that the Mauston Wrestling Club will work out access
details. Motion carried by voice vote.
4. Improvement Grants:
a. Affordable Housing Fund (AHF): This item was tabled.
b. Local TID Improvement Grants: This item was tabled.
5. Adjourn: Motion by Ellsworth, seconded by Coggins, to adjourn. Motion carried by voice vote.
Meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
