PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES
January 13, 2026 at 6:15 PM
303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI
1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The Public Works Committee meeting was called to order on Tuesday,
January 13, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. by Chair Kayla Thomas. Members present were Kayla Thomas,
Mary Bender, and Jim Allaby. Also present were Mayor Darryl Teske, City Administrator Daron
Haugh, Public Works Director Rob Nelson, and Deputy Clerk Carole Wolff.
2. Minutes: Motion by Allaby, seconded by Bender, to approve the December 9, 2025, minutes.
Motion carried by voice vote.
3. Parks Mower: Motion by Allaby, seconded by Bender, to recommend Council approval of the
purchase of a Parks mower from the Equipment Replacement Fund (ERF), per the 5-year capital
plan, in the amount of $25,008.83 from Slama Equipment. Motion carried by voice vote.
4. Application for Termination of Sewer Charges: Motion by Bender, seconded by Allaby, to
recommend Council approval of the termination of sewer charges for the property located at 930 E.
State Street. Motion carried by voice vote.
5. Adjourn: Motion by Allaby, seconded by Bender, to adjourn. Motion carried by voice vote. Meeting
adjourned at 6:19 p.m.
