CITY OF MCKEESPORT REGULAR MEETING WEDNESDAY 7:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 4, 2020 The regular meeting of Council was called to order on the above- stated date at the above-stated time after the Pledge of Allegiance and Moment of Silence by President Dellapenna. The following Members of Council were present: RC-1 PRESENT: JIM BARRY, TIMOTHY BROWN, RICHARD DELLAPENNA, BRIAN EVANS, JILL LAPE, LUETHEL NESBIT, KEITH SOLES Solicitor Elash announced there was a personnel meeting in the back room before the Council meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: President Dellapenna asked for a Motion to Approve the Minutes of the regular meeting of October 7, 2020. MOTION: Mr. Barry moved, seconded by Mr. Soles, “to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 7, 2020.” RC-2 YEAS: BARRY, BROWN, DELLAPENNA, EVANS, LAPE, NESBIT, SOLES (7) NAYS: NONE (0) COMMUNICATIONS: Secretary James reported that we received both the Fire and Police Reports for the month of October 2020. MAYOR’S REPORT: President Dellapenna asked for the Mayor’s Report. Mayor Cherepko said the only thing I have is, we should have done a moment of silence, I apologize, Barb King, who was a long-time employee of the City of McKeesport who just probably retired within [1] the last year, maybe even this year, about a year or so ago, passed away, so we send our deepest sympathy and condolences to her family in their time of loss. That’s all I have Mr. President. CITIZENS IN THE AUDIENCE: President Dellapenna asked for Citizens in the Audience. When your name is called come up, keep in mind you have three minutes, come up, state your address and what you would like to talk about. Shawn Sant, B15 Parkway, Highland Grove, spoke about neighbor issues and violations committed by neighbor and road damage. Jim Tomko, 232 Wainwright, spoke about the Budget for 2021. NEW BUSINESS: RESOLUTION NO. 2020-053 – BILL #61 – Introduced by Tim Brown – A Resolution of the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Amending the Fiscal Year 2019 CDBG Program. MOTION: Mr. Soles moved, seconded by Mrs. Lape “to approve Bill #61.” RC-3 YEAS: BARRY, BROWN, DELLAPENNA, EVANS, LAPE, NESBIT, SOLES (7) NAYS: NONE (0) President Dellapenna said next, I need a Motion to Amend the Agenda and add Bill #62. MOTION: Mr. Soles moved, seconded by Mr. Evans “to amend the Agenda and add Bill #62.” RC-4 YEAS: BARRY, BROWN, DELLAPENNA, EVANS, LAPE, NESBIT, SOLES (7) NAYS: NONE (0) [2] RESOLUTION NO. 2020-054 – BILL #62 - Introduced by Keith Soles – A Resolution of the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Authorizing the Proper City Officials to Enter Into a Grant Agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to Be Used for Facilities Improvements in Renziehausen Park. MOTION: Mr. Barry moved, seconded by Mrs. Nesbit “to approve Bill #62.” President Dellapenna asked for any questions or comments and there was none. RC-5 YEAS: BARRY, BROWN, DELLAPENNA, EVANS, LAPE, NESBIT, SOLES (7) NAYS: NONE (0) ADJOURNMENT: President Dellapenna said I would like to thank everybody for coming. That concludes the Council meeting for November 4th.
