Minutes of the McKinney Arts Commission Meeting of April 21, 2016 A motion was made by Commissioner Hackett, seconded by Commissioner Harden,that this Minutes be Approved and Referred to the City Council Regular Meeting, due back on 8/16/2016. Consider/Discuss/Act on a $3,000 Request for Reimbursement of Outreach Grant Funds for Strengthening Families of North Texas · On July 16, 2015, Commissioners awarded $3,000 in Outreach Grant Funds for Strengthening Families of North Texas. Based on the Commission’s policy regarding reimbursement, the organization only spent $2,826.76 which only allows $1,413.48 eligible for reimbursement. A motion was made by Commissioner Conover, seconded by Commissioner Harden,that this Agenda Item be Approved . The motion carried by the following vote. Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request for Reimbursement of $1,000 from Odysseus Chamber Orchestra for their Education Outreach Project A motion was made by Brewer, seconded by Commissioner Hackett,that this Agenda Item be Approved . Consider/Discuss/Act on Authorizing a McKinney Arts Commission Member to Attend the Business Council for the Arts Leadership Arts Institute Consider/Discuss/Act on an Outreach Grant Request for $898 from the McKinney Classic Film Festival A motion was made by Commissioner Conover, seconded by Commissioner Hackett,that this Agenda Item be Tabled Indefinitely . Consider/Discuss/Act on a Project Request of $3,000 from City Staff to Bring Kupira Marimba to Perform at the 2017 City of McKinney Juneteenth Celebration A motion was made by Brewer, seconded by Commissioner Conover,that this Agenda Item be Approved . Consider/Discuss/Act on a Project Request of $750 for Partial Expenses of a McKinney Nonprofit Board Training A motion was made by Commissioner Conover, seconded by Commissioner Harden,that this Agenda Item be Approved . Consider/Discuss/Act on a Project Request for a Not to Exceed Amount of $250 for Refreshments for the July 26th, 2016 Mural Unveiling CITIZEN COMMENTS BOARD OR COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Board or Commission Comments relating to items of public interest: Announcements regarding local or regional civic and charitable events, staff recognition, commendation of citizens, upcoming meetings, informational update on projects, awards, acknowledgement of meeting attendees, birthdays, requests for items to be placed on upcoming agendas, and condolences.
