Tennessee Street McKinney, TX 75069 McKinney Community Development Corporation McKinney Community Development Minutes - Final August 23, 2018 Corporation PURSUANT TO TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 551.002, A QUORUM OF THE CITY COUNCIL MAY BE PRESENT. NO CITY COUNCIL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. CALL TO ORDER CONSENT ITEMS This portion of the agenda consists of non-controversial or housekeeping items required by law. Items may be considered individually by the Board or Commission member making such request prior to a motion and vote on the Consent Items. Minutes of the McKinney Community Development Corporation Meeting of June 26, 2018 A motion was made by Doak, seconded by Barnes-Tilley,that this Minutes be Approved to the City Council Regular Meeting, due back on 9/4/2018. The motion carried by the following vote. Minutes of the MCDC Meeting of July 26, 2018 A motion was made by Doak, seconded by Barnes-Tilley,that this Minutes be Approved to the City Council Regular Meeting, due back on 9/5/2018. The motion carried by the following vote. REPORTS Financial Reports Board Liaison Updates Board Chairman City of McKinney McKinney Convention and Visitors Bureau McKinney Economic Development Corporation McKinney Main Street/MPAC McKinney Parks and Recreation President’s Report REGULAR AGENDA Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request for Funding Project #18-09, Submitted by McKinney Main Street in an Amount Not to Exceed Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000) for a Wireless Speaker System for Historic Downtown McKinney. A motion was made by Barnes-Tilley, seconded by Doak,that this Agenda Item be Approved . The motion carried by the following vote. Consider/Discuss/Act on a Request for Funding Project #18-10, Submitted by The Heritage Guild of Collin County, in the Amount of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) for Iron Fencing and Monument Signage at Chestnut Square. The amount requested represents 89% of the total project cost. A motion was made by Clarke, seconded by Brewer,that this Agenda Item be Approved . The motion carried by the following vote. CITIZEN COMMENTS BOARD OR COMMISSIONER COMMENTS Board or Commission Comments relating to items of public interest: Announcements regarding local or regional civic and charitable events, staff recognition, commendation of citizens, upcoming meetings, informational update on projects, awards, acknowledgement of meeting attendees, birthdays, requests for items to be placed on upcoming agendas, and condolences.
