MENOMONIE AIRPORT COMMISSION
September 21, 2022
The Menomonie Airport Commission was called to order by Chairman Dr. Dan
Johnson at 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in the Menomonie Municipal
Airport Terminal Conference Room. Other Commission members present included:
Arvin Solsaa and Randy Sommerfeld. Others in attendance included: Randy
Eide, Lowell Prange, Darrel Gibson, Melissa Underwood (SEH) and Ryan Felch
(SEH).
There were no public comments.
The August 24, 2022 minutes were approved by consensus.
Eide informed the Commission that the Master Plan Project continues to be
under solicitation by the Bureau of Aeronautics and we anticipate a list of
proposals for the City of Menomonie to review in the near future. Underwood
and Felch from SEH shared a programmatic look at project funding options for
the next several years.
Chairman Johnson introduced Airport a draft Inspection Protocols Checklist to
be used by the Airport Manager. The Chairman asked the Commission Members to
review and bring back any suggestions to the next meeting. No action was
taken on the checklist by the Commission.
MOTION made by Sommerfeld, seconded by Solsaa, to approve the Airport 2023
Budget as presented. MOTION passed.
Chairman Johnson update the Commission on the latest information associated
with FAA approval of 100LL fuel.
The Airport Manager’s Report was presented and reviewed.
Prange informed the Commission of a recent noise complaint from a homeowner
living west of the Airport.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 6:00pm at
the Menomonie Municipal Airport Terminal.
