MENOMONIE BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (BPAC) July 24, 2023 The Menomonie Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee met on July 24, 2023 at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers (800 Wilson Ave). Committee members in attendance included: Mark Mastalir, and Mark Deyo-Svendsen, Don Kuether, David Williams. Also in attendance: Bob Colson, David Schofield, Kristina Kuzma, and Burton Barnard. Committee member Williams opened the meeting. MOTION by Deyo-Svendsen, seconded by Kuether, to approve the April 24, 2023 meeting minutes. MOTION passed. Williams provided an update regarding the Bike Federation Summit. He will try to schedule a visit from a Summit member at the October meeting. Under BPAC concerns, Schofield discussed the Stokke Trail resurfacing project. Bids will be collected in August. Stokke Parkway Trail will be chip sealed in August. Williams will reach out to the Bike Federation regarding ordinance examples for E-Bikes. Universal concerns regarding motorcycles, ATV/UTV on bike trails. Kuzma will contact the DNR. The City will be making additional bike trail signage including Logger Loop Trail and larger maps. Colson will provide link to the Dunn County Bicycle Route plan and invite Scott Nabbefield to the next meeting. The Menomin Meander is scheduled for August 19th, 9am at the Dunn County Fairgrounds. Schofield will post information to the City website and Facebook page. Bob Colson will be retiring and his replacement will be Kristina Kuzma. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 pm. Next meeting is scheduled for October 9, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Respectfully submitted, David Schofield Recording Secretary
