OFFICIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin, was held in open
session on July 11, 2022, and called to order by Mayor Knaack at 7:04 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
The following members were present: McCullough, Yonko, Schwebs, Sommerfeld, Schlough, Burstad,
Sutherland and Erdman. Chase and Solberg were absent.
MOTION made by Erdman, seconded by Burstad, and carried to approve the minutes of the June 20, 2022 council
meeting.
PUBLIC HEARING – None
PUBLIC COMMENTS – None
MOTION made by Erdman, seconded by Schlough, and carried to waive the rules for members to discuss the UW-
Stout special events plans with UW-Stout representative, Kristi Krimpelbein. MOTION made by Schwebs,
seconded by Sommerfeld, and carried unanimously to approve the UW-Stout special event requests as
presented.
MOTION made by Schwebs, seconded by Burstad and carried unanimously to approve the lease amendment as
presented for space currently rented in City Hall with Foundations Therapy, LLC and Thrive Psychological
and Consulting Services, LLC.
MOTION made by McCullough, seconded by Yonko and carried unanimously to approve the Municipal Library
Board appointments of John Grape, Sara Huhmann, and Dayle Mandelson, through June 2025.
BUDGET TRANSFERS – MOTION made by Yonko, seconded by Burstad and carried unanimously on roll call vote
to approve the budget transfers for the Water Utility dehumidifier replacement for $2,000 and Sewer Utility
manhole repair for $6,500.
MAYOR’S REPORT – Mayor Knaack gave his report on community events coming up, including Airfest and
Autorama on August 8th, Paint the Town on Main Street, and an update on the Stout Rd. construction.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Public Works Director, Randy Eide expanded on the
details of the road construction project on Stout Road, announcing that Chippewa Concrete is ready to
commence work, first on the curbs and that residents have been notified. Eide also informed Council that
there are weekly meetings being held on Thursdays for status updates on the project.
CLAIMS - MOTION was made by Erdman, seconded by Burstad, and carried unanimously on roll call vote to
approve payment of the following claims:
