OFFICIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin, was held in open session on August 1, 2022, and called to order by Mayor Knaack at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The following members were present: Chase, Solberg, Yonko, Schwebs, Sommerfeld, Schlough, Burstad, Sutherland and Erdman. McCullough was absent. MOTION made by Erdman, seconded by Sutherland, and carried to approve the minutes of the July 11, 2022 council meeting. PUBLIC HEARING – None PUBLIC COMMENTS – None MOTION made by Schwebs, seconded by Solberg, and carried unanimously on roll call vote to approve the $1,005 price increase on a Sewer Utility vehicle bid accepted earlier this summer increasing the amount to $35,005 for the purchase from Northtown Ford. MOTION made by Chase, seconded by Burstad, and carried unanimously to approve the Loparex, LLC – Hammond special event request as presented. MOTION made by Burstad, seconded by Sutherland, and carried unanimously to approve the Knights of Columbus special event request as presented. MOTION made by Chase, seconded by Sutherland and carried unanimously to approve the Beton-Stahl, Inc. lease amendment for additional rental space in City Hall as presented. MOTION made by Solberg, seconded by Chase, and carried unanimously to approve the 2023-2027 Capital Improvements Program for the City as presented. BUDGET TRANSFERS – MOTION made by Burstad, seconded by Solberg and carried unanimously on roll call vote to approve the $700 budget transfer for the Recreation Department’s printing costs and the $2160 IT Department transfer for mobile device software licensing. MAYOR’S REPORT – Mayor Knaack gave his report on community events coming up, including Downtown Menomonie’s Rally in the Alley on August 4th, the Community Garden’s Harvest Picnic on August 16th, and gave an update on the Wolske Bay boat landing construction. COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – Councilmember Yonko gave an update on the Rail Commission meeting in which the bylaws were formed and asked the council to submit any ideas for procedural practices for collaboration with the Rail Commission. Councilmember Chase mentioned the 10th  Annual Summer Show at the Mabel Tainter Theater, and the Menomonie Theater Guild’s summer camp productions August 12th-14th.
