SPECIAL MEETING – September , The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Michigan City, Indiana, met in SPECIAL SESSION on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2019, at the hour of 8:30 a.m., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall Building, located at 100 East Michigan Boulevard, Michigan City Indiana – a regular meeting room of this Board. The meeting was called to order by President Steve Janus, who presided. Noted present: Steve Janus, Rich Murphy and Virginia Keating (3) Absent: None (0) A QUORUM WAS NOTED PRESENT. Also noted in attendance: Charles “Spike” Peller, City Engineer Gale Neulieb, City Clerk Dawn Debald, Assistant Deputy Clerk AWARDING OF BIDS – City Wide Pavement Markings Project – SEH of Indiana Jay Niec, SEH of Indiana addressed the Board asking for approval of the Notice of Award and Bid Form 96 from Air Marking Company, Inc. Discussion ensued between Virginia Keating and Mr. Niec regarding documents that were missing from the bid packet. Mr. Niec responded yes there were some documents missing but they have all been received and are in the Board’s packet; advising the missing documents are also listed in the cover letter from SEH of Indiana. Discussion ensued between Virginia Keating and Vice-President Murphy regarding if there is funding available for the project. Vice-President Murphy responded, yes. Vice-President Murphy made the motion to award the 2019 City Wide Pavement Markings Project to The Airmarking Company, Inc. per the recommendation from SEH of Indiana. The motion was seconded by Virginia Keating and carried as follows: AYES: MEMBERS Janus, Murphy and Keating (7). NAYS: ( ). Motion Carries. ADJOURNMENT President Janus stated as there were no other items on the agenda to be considered by the Board at this time, declared the meeting ADJOURNED (approximately 8:32 a.m.). Virginia Keating made the motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Vice-President Murphy and carried as follows: AYES: MEMBERS Janus, Murphy and Keating (7). NAYS: ( ).
