MINUTES OF THE MEETING Friday, May 17, 2019 6:00 p.m. Room B19, 245 deKoven Drive Middletown, CT Minutes: Special Meeting Middletown Commission on the Arts Present: Charlotte McCoid, Franca Biales, Lee Godburn, David Bauer, John Basinger, Crystal Laffan Also present: Kisha Michael, Arts Coordinator 1. Meeting called to order at 6:05 p.m. 2. Public Session: no members of the public present 3. MCA Grant Recommendations a. After discussion, all are in favor with a unanimous vote to follow the grant panel’s recommendations. Bauer moved the Commission accept the committee recommendation to fund JCherry’s grant request for $5,000. Laffan seconded; passed unanimously. Bauer moved the Commission accept the committee recommendation to fund Stephan Allison’s grant request for $2,456. Laffan seconded; passed unanimously. Bauer moved the Commission accept the committee recommendation to fund ARTFARM in the amount of $2,500. Laffan seconded; passed unanimously. 4. Adjournment: Bauer moved to adjourn, seconded by Laffan. Meeting adjourned at 6:27 p.m. cc: Town Clerk
