Approval of Minutes:  Minutes presented from the May 14, 2024 meeting. Motion by Anthony Mangiafico, 2nd by Leslie Spatola. Motion passed unanimously. Public Hearing for Agenda Items:  None Department Reports  Director Elak and Manager Davis provided brief reports on activities within the Health Department. Old Business  Congregate Meals at the Middletown Senior Center - Director Elak provided an update to the Board. The Estuary, the state vendor for congregate meals and meals on wheels for the region, notified the Middletown Senior Center that they were ending their contract to provide congregate meals to the region effective immediate. A new vendor has been identified. Futures, Inc. will be preparing meals out of their Middletown location and delivering them to the senior center. New Business:  Public Health Block Grant Allocation for 2024/2025 Commissioners called for an Executive Session to discuss allocation of block grant funding. Upon return from Executive Session, a motion was made by Anthony Mangiafico to allocate funding as listed: St. Vincent DePaul $4000, Gilead $2000, Middletown PAL $2000, Holy Trinity $1000, Oddfellows Playhouse $2000, Northern Middlesex YMCA $2000, Women and Families $1000, The Free Center $1000, ARTFARM $1000, Warming Center $25,500, Disease Surveillance $18000, and New Horizons $22500. The motion was seconded by Patricia Distefano. Motion passed unanimously. Other:  A motion was made by Robyn Anderson to cancel the Board of Health meetings for July and August. 2nd by Anthony Mangiafico. Motion passed unanimously.
