Honoring Jesse Salafia on his 100th Birthday. C. Commemorating February as Black History Month. D. Resolution of Commendation 4. Mayor requests motion to approve minutes of: A. Regular meeting of January 6, 2014 at 7 p.m.; B. Special Meeting of January 6, 2014 at 6 p.m.; C. Special Meeting of January 6, 2014 at 6:45 p.m.; D. Special meeting of January 9, 2014 at 7 p.m. 5. Public Hearing on Agenda Item and Bond Ordinance Opens. An ordinance Appropriating $749,000 for Track Resurfacing and Improvements and Tennis Court Improvements at Woodrow Wilson Middletown School and authorizing the issue of $749,000 bonds of the City to meet said appropriation and pending the issuance thereof the making of temporary borrowings for such purpose. 6. Monthly Reports: Finance Department – Transfer Report to January 24, 2014 C. Grant Confirmation and Approval – Board of Education, Various Grants D. 1st Quarter Hiring Report – Human Relations Department E. Emergency Purchase – Fire Department, Honeywell repair clogged pipes F. Approving naming one field at the Long Hill Road Soccer Facility Frank Marchese Field and one field at the Country Club Road facility Stephen Crouch Field in honor of two leaders in the development and growth of Youth Soccer in Middletown. B. Approving the appointment of Vincent Szynkowicz to fill the unexpired term of Robert Simpson a regular member of the Planning and Zoning Commission to November 14, 2017. C. Approving the appointment of Robert Blanchard to fill the unexpired term of Gary Faraci, alternate member of the Planning and Zoning Commission to November 13, 2015. D. Approving amending and renaming the position of Personnel Assistant to Human Resources Generalist (Non-bargaining, Salary Grade 10, $21.75 - $32.19) for inclusion in the Classification Plan and approving removing the position of Personnel Assistant. E. Approving creating a new position entitled Manager of Senior Services, Teamsters, Salary Grade 13, $27.03 - $39.99, 40 hours for inclusion in the Classified Plan with said position effective on approval. February 3, 2014 Common Council 3 F. Approving various job descriptions within the Classified Plan for the bargaining unit of Teamsters, Local #671 to include Clerk of the Common Council to Salary Grade 13; Manager of Accreditation, Research & Development to Salary Grade 13, Assistant Directors of Finance (2) to Salary Grade 20, Manager of Human Resources (Board of Education), Salary Grade 14, and Manager of Financial Operations (Board of Education) to Salary Grade 16. G. Approving waiving the competitive bid requirement in accordance with Section 78-8 of the Middletown Code of ordinances to allow the Police Department to use Romco Contractors to complete the roof stack project approved by the Council using LoCIP funds. 11.
