A. Congratulating the Class of 2016 Middletown High School Honor Students.
B. Approving the amending of Ordinance Section 1-19, Article I to amend the name
of the Director of Human Relations and Human Relations Director to Director of
Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management and approving amending the
Human relations Office or Office of Human Relations to the Office of Equal
Opportunity and Diversity Management; this amendment to Section 1-19 will
change those names throughout the Middletown Code of Ordinances.
C. Approving establishing a nine member Boathouse Building Committee and
confirming the Mayor’s appointees to the Committee.
D. Approving co-sponsoring the Central Business Bureau’s “Cruise Night on Main
Street” scheduled for June 15, 2016 from 4:30 to 8:30, with rain date for June 22,
2016.
E. Approving co-sponsoring the Central Business Bureau’s “Middletown Motorcycle
Mania” for August 10, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with rain date of Aguust
17, 2016.
F. Approving co-sponsoring the Citizens Bank 5K Summer Fun Run for July 20,
2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
G. Approving a 4-year partial tax abatement for S&G Holdings LLC for a 12 unit
apartment building being constructed at 38 Ward Street, authorizing the Mayor
to sign said agreement, with the tax abatements will be executed after the
issuance of the final Certificate of Occupancy.
H. Approving a bid waiver in accordance with Section 78-8 of the Middletown Code
of Ordinances to purchase six electric vehicles at a cost less than the State bid
and to meet the grant requirement of delivery by May 1.
I. Approving adding the renovations to Donovan Park (behind Macdonough School)
estimated to be $200,000 as a project under the Park Bond that was adopted
approved by the voters.

J. Approving the expenditure of $1,200 to Middletown Youth Soccer, Inc. from the
Recreation and Community Services Department Youth Grant for the current
year.
K. Approving the building permit refund to WFSC, Ltd in the amount of $143.50.
L. Approving closing the funds as listed in the resolution and transferring any
remaining monies to Debt Service.
M. Approving amending the duty of the Woodrow Wilson/Keigwin Building
Committee to explore the findings of the Board of Education and determine the
needs of the City regarding Woodrow Wilson and Keigwin Schools.
N. Approving creating a new line item in the Public Works CNR for 2016 entitled
Mechanics’ Laptops and approving a transfer of $3,500 into the new line item
from the Miscellaneous Departments’ CNR funds.
O. Approving the 21st Century Parks Committee to oversee Woodrow Wilson Track
and Field Improvements, Woodrow Wilson Tennis Courts, and the Pat Kidney
Park Improvements; Approving the Public Works and Facilities Commission to
serve as the building committee for Harbor Park, Smith Park, Wesley School
Park, Lawrence School Park Improvements, Spear Park, and the Palmer Field
Entry and Bleacher Repair; and approving the Mayor’s appointments for the 21 st
Century Parks Committee.
POSSIBLE ADDITION:
P. Approving amending the Personnel Rules for Defined, Executive Non-
Bargaining Positions, including a changes to salaries and various other
sections of the Personnel Rules section.
