THE MATTABASSETT DISTRICT - Minutes of October 16, 2023 PUBLIC SPEAKERS None MINUTES OF Monday, OCTOBER 16, 2023 Roll Call of Members The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of The Mattabassett District was held on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the Administration Building. Vice Chairman David Bauer called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. A roll call was taken. Present from the Town of Cromwell was Director Joe Corlis. Present from the Town of Berlin was Director Liam Mitchell. Present from the City of Middletown were Directors David Bauer and Gerald Daley. Present from the City of New Britain were Directors Don Naples, Daniel Salerno (via zoom, Rick Healey (via zoom) and Mary Marrocco. Also, present was Edward T. Lynch Jr. – District Counsel, Executive Director Arthur Simonian – Operations Manager – Ty Wagner, Engineer – Michelle Ryan, Maintenance Manager – Bill Adkins and Administrative Assistant – Dana Onofrio. Members Doug Sienna, Carl Erlacher, Bonnie Anderson, John Dunham, James Fallon, Joseph Samolis and Tonilynn Collins were absent. PUBLIC SPEAKERS None Approval of September 18, 2023, Minutes MOTION: Mr. Daley moved to approve the minutes of the September 18, 2023, Board Meeting. Mr. Corlis seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved with one abstaining Mr. Healey. Treasurer's Report MOTION: Mr. Mitchell moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Ms. Marrocco seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Budget Statement MOTION: Mr. Corlis moved to approve the Budget Statement as presented. THE MATTABASSETT DISTRICT - Minutes of October 16, 2023 Ms. Marrocco seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Check Register No Report. Staff Reports MOTION: Mr. Daley moved to approve the Staff Reports as presented. Ms. Marrocco seconded the motion. Discussion RESOLVED: The motion was approved unanimously. Executive Director’s Staff Actions – David Bauer suggested we share Sludge Incinerator Cost Analysis with the Board as well as Plant Tour Notices. Send copies of The Community High Flow Letters to the Board as well. Engineering Committee No Report. Finance Committee No Report. The Finance Committee Meeting will be held on November 9, 2023. Human Resources Committee No Report. Property Management THE MATTABASSETT DISTRICT - Minutes of October 16, 2023 No Report. The Property Management Meeting will be held on October 26, 2023. Public Relations Committee No Report. Counsel Report No Report New Business None. Communications No Report. Adjournment MOTION: Mr. Naples moved to adjourn the meeting. RESOLVED: The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m. The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Administration Building, 245 Main Street, Cromwell, CT.
