6) Construction Updates
From Steve Nelson:
Hello all.
This is how the project looks today. The building is fully enclosed with doors and plastic sheets over the
clerestory windows.
As of last week, most of the mechanical and electrical rough-in was nearing completion. Exterior metal
siding was to begin soon. Metal roofing was waiting for the temperature to get into the 40s to apply the
peal and stick rubber sheet underlayment.
The contractor said at the last progress meeting that they will be looking for a time extension due to
weather and power not yet to the building. We will assess the time extension request when it arrives, but
clearly the project won't be complete by Jan. 15 as stated in the meeting minutes. The contractor will
update the schedule at the progress meeting 9am next Tuesday. Any members are welcome to attend.
I will be out of town for tomorrow night's meeting, so this is my progress report. Email any questions for
me from the meeting and I will reply.
Best. Steve
Discussion: Change order for $0 would be needed. Will be considered when we receive. Will
expect detailed reasons in request.
7) Old Business
8) New Business
i) Discussion about releasing the retainage associated with the grant funding (the
funding life is coming to an end and we need to get reimbursed. We can only
get reimbursed for the retainage once we have paid it). Motion Phil/Larry.
Approved.
ii) Anita Melhorn Resigned from committee. Rob will communicate to Mayor.
iii)
9) Adjournment. Mike/Ed Approved.
