Russell Library Executive Committee Special Meeting July 17, 2023, 5:00PM Via Zoom Present: Trustees Becker, Fulton, Schulenburg, and Wisneski; Library Director Burkey Missing: Trustee Nelson AGENDA 1. Call to Order - Chair Wisneski called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. 2. Public Comment - There were no comments from members of the public. 3. MOTION: It was moved (Trustee Becker) and seconded (Trustee Fulton) to approve a resolution approving an application to the Community Investment Fund 2030 for $250,000 to undertake the Middletown Library Capital Planning Process Discussion: Director Burkey shared that this resolution is a document required for the application packet to the Community Investment Fund. The financial assistance from the state would be issued on a reimbursement basis. Because this is a reimbursement grant, Director Burkey has submitted a draft resolution for the city to front the money, which will then be reimbursed by the state funding if approved. This total includes the $50,000 already expended through the library/city hall feasibility study process. The motion passed unanimously in favor of approving the resolution. 4. Adjournment - It was moved (Trustee Becker) and seconded (Trustee Fulton) to adjourn the meeting at 5:12 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
