MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES March 17th 2020 The Middletown Town Council met in the Public Meeting Room at 653 Locust Street, Middletown, Indiana at 7:00 P.M. Council Members Dick Schwalm, Gary Kendall, Dan Fountain, Jake Smith and Dave Wagner were present. Town Attorney Joel Harvey was present. 1. Discussion was had about funding for the Fire Department Airpacks. We are unsure of the Township intentions. Dan Fountain motioned and Gary Kendall seconded to freeze the unencumbered funds in the Public Safety funds. This amount is 36,705.00. The motion carried 5-0 2. Dan Fountain reported that the Middletown Environmental Committee is looking for volunteers to assist with the cat control program. 3. Carl Spears reported that he had picked up the car lift for the Utility garage. 4. Carl Spears reported that Dean Fites has given his two week notice. 5. There was discussion about semi trucks knocking over street signs in the west end of town. Also some vandalism that has been occurring. 6. After discussion, Dan Fountain motioned and Dave Wagner seconded to adopt the Town of Middletown Infectious Disease Outbreak Response Plan. This plan will be activated if Henry County declares a health emergency.
