MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES The Middletown Town Council held a meeting on October 15th 2024. The council approved the minutes from the October 1st meeting. The council approved claims 40194 - 40239 totaling 334,286.96 1. Dan Fountain motioned and Jake Smith seconded appointing Gary Kendall to the vacant council seat. Motion carried 4-0. 2. Clerk-Treasurer Tim Mundell swore in three new reserve officers. Austin Bodkin, Devin Branham and Justin Vanzini. 3. Dave Wagner motioned and Dan Fountain seconded approving Ordinance 2024-3, which adopts the 2025 budget. Motion carried 4-0. 4. There was discussion about creating the Ambulance Fund and Fire Truck Fund. Ems chief Phil Chandler and Fire Chief Bruce Hanson want the funds less restricted than buying vehicles. No action was taken. 5. There was discussion about the fine for loose dogs. We will look into this further. 6. Dave Wagner signed a letter to Henry County Planning Commission expressing support for the rezoning request that Alexander Screw Products has submitted.
