MIDDLETOWN TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES The Middletown Town Council held a meeting on October 1st 2024. Dan Fountain was absent. The council approved the minutes from the September 3rd meeting. The council approved claims 40053 - 40122 totaling 170,875.32 The council approved claims 40123 – 40193 totaling 407,508.04 1. There was discussion about creating vehicle funds and their allowable uses. 2. Alexander screw products gave a presentation on their plans for property they own behind Get-Go. They want to rezone a parcel from General Business to Light Industrial. The council expressed their support. 3. Dave Wagner opened a public hearing on the 2025 budget. President Wagner closed the hearing with no comments from the public. 4. Bowen pay application #6 for 663,810 was presented. Jake Smith motioned and Teresa Dennis seconded approving. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Dave Wagner motioned and Teresa Dennis seconded declaring the catch basin collapse at 8th and High an emergency. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Teresa Dennis motioned and Jake Smith seconded moving Mary Wilson from Grade 9 to Grade 11 utility worker. Motion carried 3-0. 7. The lift station pumps on Maple street are being worked on.
