Village of Millbrook Climate Smart Community Meeting Minutes May 19, 2025 Members present: Mike Herzog, Genevieve Glasson, Shannon La Deau, Eldar Shumanov, Shannon Mawson —— Current Status of Bronze Certification Application Status of Bronze Certification Application is as follows. NY State DEC is currently reviewing our application sent in January 2025. Notification date of completed review is June 5, 2025. CSC coordinator, Mike Herzog, will schedule a meeting in mid-June to discuss revision of an application or an agenda on how to proceed in 2025 with future goals and plans depending on the outcome of the Village review. —— Goals and plans for CSC Task Force Members in 2025 There was a discussion of what pledge elements task force members would begin to research before the June meeting. Those assignments are as follows: • Genevieve Glasson: Solar power on municipal and community sites in Dutchess County • Eldar Schumanov: Safe Routes to School • Shannon La Deau: Climate Change Engagement and Education • Shannon Mawson: Outdoor Street Lights Update and Municipal Interior Upgrades • Mike Herzog: Recycling Bins In Government Buildings and Government Operations Climate Action Plan —— Set meeting date for early June After discussion about possible meeting dates in June, a motion was made by coordinator Mike Herzog to meet on June 10th at 4:30 in Village Hall. Motion seconded by Eldar Shumanov. Motion passed unanimously. Motion to adjourn meeting made by co- coordinator Genevieve Glasson. Motion passed unanimously.
