Minutes of the Millcreek Planning Commission June 10, 2020 5:30 p.m. Field Trip Special Meeting The Planning Cornrnission of Millcreek, Utah, met in a special public meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at City Hall, starting at 3330 S. 1300 E., Millcreek, UT 84106. PRESENT: Commissioners City Staff Shawn LaMar, Chair Francis Lilly, Planning and Zoning Director Russ Booth, Vice Chair Blaine Gehring, Legislative Policy Analyst David Allen Scott Claerhout (absent) Fred Healey (absent) Mark Mumford Victoria Reid Skye Sieber Tom Stephens (absent) Attendees: There were no public attendees. REGULAR MEETING - 5:30 p.m. TIME COMMENCED: 5:35 p.m. 1. Discussion Regarding Adoption of a Fencing Ordinance While Visiting Sites in Millcreek The tour began at 3400 S. 1100 E. Participants walked from there west to Lorraine Avenue and 1100 East, then south along 1100 East to Carolyn Street, then south along Carolyn Street to Fairclough Drive, then east to Christine Street, then south along Christine Street to Montclair Drive, then east along Montclair Drive to 1100 East, then north along 1100 East to 3400 South. Coinmissioners and staff observed a variety of existing fences and vegetation in residential front and side yards. After the walk, Commissioners and staff spent 30 minutes discussing the appropriate height for front yard fences, the appropriate distance for clear view requirements from a driveway and an intersecting street, and the extent to which existing fences would have nonconforming status once a new ordinance was adopted. ADJOURNED: Commissioner Allen moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 p.m. Commissioner Sieber seconded. Chair LaMar called for the vote. All Commissioners voted yes. The motion passed unanimously.
