Pereira discussed property maintenance during fall and winter stating that leaves should be cleared from properties but not blown into streets and snow should be cleared around fire hydrants, commented that garbage should be placed at the curb in the morning so it does not blow all over, reminded residents that there are sanitation schedule changes during weeks with a holiday like Election Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Mayor Pereira discussed the extremely heavy rainfall last week and thanked the Department of Public Works for keeping the catch basins clean. Mayor Pereira encouraged residents to attend the Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 AM in Mineola Memorial Park, discussed 5 the car parade for Sgt. Anthony Catalano’s 105th birthday, stated that the Mineola High School Marching Band will be recognized at the next Board meeting on November 12 for winning the Division I Small School New York State Field Band Conference, and reported that road work has started on Garfield Avenue and Wellington Road. Deputy Mayor Janine Sartori congratulated the newly elected and re-elected officials from Nassau County and Town of North Hempstead and announced that Mineola Memorial Library is holding a food drive from November 1 through November 15 with donations going to Corpus Christi food pantry. Trustee Paul S. Cusato congratulated all the newly elected and re-elected officials. Trustee Jeffrey M. Clark had no report. Trustee Donna M. Solosky discussed the car parade for World War II veteran Sgt. Anthony Catalano who recently turned 105 years old. 1 speaker addressed the Board Mayor Paul A.
