Presentation of the Annual Financial Statement for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2025 by Alicia Zabala and William A. Barrett, CPA of Rynkar, Vail & Barrett, LLP. The $551,956.72 in the General Fund will be used to pay down the debt for the Mineola Fire Department Headquarters Serial Bonds 2021 – Series A. Motioned by Trustee Paul S. Pereira discussed the Mineola Fall Festival and thanked all involved in making it a tremendous success including the Village Clerk’s office, LI PopUp, Department of Public Works and Mineola Auxiliary Police, and announced that the Mineola Holiday Festival will be held the first two weekends in December. Mayor Pereira added that there will be a birthday car parade on Sunday, November 2 for Sgt. Tony Catalano who is celebrating his 105th birthday, discussed the Nassau County Village Officials Association’s 100th year gala, and reminded residents that Village offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 4 for Election Day and that there will be a holiday sanitation collection schedule in effect that week. Deputy Mayor Janine Sartori reminded residents that the Village Halloween Party is this Friday, October 24. Trustee Paul S. Cusato commented that the Mineola Fall Festival was a great event, discussed the Chamber of Commerce meeting where first responders from the Mineola Fire Department, Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Mineola Auxiliary Police Department were presenters, and announced that another Chamber of Commerce women’s networking event is in the works. Trustee Jeffrey M. Clark had no report. Trustee Donna M. Solosky announced that there will be a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 AM in Minoela Memorial Park.
