APPROVAL OF MINUTES – OCTOBER 7, 2024 MEETING
Motion (Weier/McKeon) to approve the October 7, 2024 minutes. Motion carried, all voting aye (4-0).
DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF SKID-STEER BROOM ATTACHMENT
The Street department received two quotes for a new skid-steer broom attachment. Quotes were
received from Farmers Implement and Ritchie Implement. Farmers Implement price was $300 more
than Ritchie Implement's, however, Street Foreman Mohlmann would like to keep the purchase local if
at all possible.
The broom is used to clean the sidewalks on High Street, and in places the street sweeper can’t reach. It
also gets used at the parks and the sewer plant.
Alder Martin stated that if the money will be spent on the new broom attachment, he wants to see it be
used, especially on High Street.
Motion (Weier/McKeon) to approve the purchase of a new skid-steer broom attachment from
Farmers Implement. Motion carried, all voting aye (3-0).

DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF STREETS DEPARTMENT PICK-UP TRUCK REPLACEMENT
Administrator Honer received multiple bids for a Street Department pick-up truck from Pioneer Ford,
Hallada Motors, Runde Auto, and Fillback Ford. Most of the 2025 models will be 2-3 months out for
delivery. The only 2025 model available currently on the lot is at Runde Auto.
Motion (McKeon/Weier) to recommend Council approval of the purchase of a new pick-up truck from
Pioneer Ford. Motion carried, all voting aye (3-0).
DISCUSSION OF CEMETERY PLOWING POLICIES
Administrator Honer read through the policies. There is liability both ways, which is what the
committee wanted. This is something that should be re-visited each year, especially if the City needs to
look into any cost savings in the budget.
There is no termination of the policy/agreement unless there is written notice. Alder Christensen
suggested getting an updated agreement with the current Church employees and cemetery association
members. Alder McKeon would like to see one signed each year so that everyone is on the same page.
The Committee advised Administrator Honer to reach out to the Church and Cemetery Association to
get updated signatures.
ADJOURN.
Motion (McKeon/Weier) to adjourn at 6:19 pm. Motion carried, all voting aye (4-0).
