Dean Martin Present Jared Weier Absent Steph McKeon Present Mike Christensen Present Others Present: City Administrator Matthew Honer, Water/ Sewer Superintendent Nate Fosbinder. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – NOVEMBER 7, 2024 MEETING Motion (Martin/McKeon) to approve the November 7, 2024 minutes. Motion carried, all voting aye (3-0). DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF BILLING IN RESPONSE TO WATER METER RESOLUTION ERRORS. Honer stated that several meters in the city were not correctly calibrated against the software in 2016 and have been reading incorrectly since. Fosbinder discussed the Public Service Commission’s regulation. The Committee discussed that errors that collected additional funds should be paid back. The Committee recommended that both the Superintendent and the Administrator have in-person discussions with the businesses. Christianson asked if there was an effort to look for further errors from the same time period as when these errors happened. Fosbinder stated the has done it for meters that are larger than 1.5” and meters that are less than 1.5” will be identified through the process of replacement. Motion (Christianson/Martin) to refund the overbilling and cancelling underbilling situations that have resulted from the water meter resolution error. Motion carried, all voting aye (3-0). Fosbinder stated that all radios need to be replaced at once so the communication capabilities are not impacted. He proposed using approximately $20,000 from the 2024 budget and approximately $20,000 from the 2025 budget. Motion (Martin/McKeon) to recommend Council approval of the purchase of Radio Upgrades for the water and sewer infrastructure. Motion carried, all voting aye (3-0). DISCUSSION AND UPDATES ON OTHER WATER AND SEWER ISSUES Fosbinder provided an update on the lead service line inventory and issues with Wells #3 and #4. ADJOURN.
