CITY HALL ANNEX, 115 S.W. 1•t STREET, MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS BOARD MEMBERS BOARD ALTERNATES Myra Johnson, (Chairperson) Barry Campbell Jonathon Rusher Paul Schmidtke Kenneth Drew Thomas Zinn Brown Lawerence Kaufmann CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 9:03 a.m. by Ms. Johnson. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Myra Johnson (Chairperson) Kenneth Drew, Lawrence Kaufmann BOARD ALTERNATES PRESENT: Barry Campbell, Thomas Zinn Brown,( Both voting alternates) STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Mike Pool - Interim Building Official, Stacie Frye - Code Enforcement Secretary MINUTES: The minutes of the April 18, 2019, Board of Adjustment meeting were approved with all in favor, at 9:04 a.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS PUBLIC HEARING ON BOA CASE 2019..07: Applicants Socorro and Juan Gil are requesting (a) a special exception in order to construct a carport t<>:'Within 3 feet of the side property line in an SF-9 (single family) zoned district, and (b) a variance in order to construct a carport up to the side property line in an SF-9 (single family) zoned district located at 2803 Michael Lane , being Blk 7 Lot 24 of the Murco Heights Addition in the City of Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas. A public hearing opened at 9:03 a.m. Socorro was present for the meeting and spoke a little about why she was requesting the variance. Mrs. Johnson asked Mr. Pool how many letters were sent out to property owners within a 200 ft radius. Mr. Pool stated that 26 letters were sent out with no response Mr. Pool then read aloud the staff recommendation, which was no recommendation to the Variance as submitted . The commission discussed the request, some questions where answered by Mr. Pool. The variance was denied with all in favor, at 9:17 a.m. ADJOURNMENT: There was no further business.
