Others Present: City Manager, City Clerk, City Attorney, Assistant City Attorney, Finance Director, Public Works Director, City Engineer, Police Chief, Fire Chief, City Assessor, Assistant City Assessor, Airport Director, Recreation/Auditorium Director, Public Information Officer, Traffic Engineer, City Planner, Assistant City Planner, Treasurer, Park Director, Aldermen Connole, and Jill Schramm and Mayor Zimbelman. To the Honorable Mayor and All Aldermen: Following are the recommendations from the Airport Committee meeting called to order at 4:39 p.m., July 30, 2013: 1. That the City Council declare the bid by M-B Companies, Inc. for the High Speed Sweeper in the amount of $484,377 and the bid by Sheehan Mack for the High Speed Snow Plow in the amount of $419,193 to be the lowest and best received; and further, authorize the Airport Director to complete the purchases. ********** The above motion by Alderman Frey, seconded by Member Rued and carried unanimously. 2. That the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign any documentation associated with a federal and/or state grant that could be used to support an already approved airport capital improvement project, on the City’s behalf. ********** The above motion by Alderman Lehner, seconded by Alderman Knudsvig and carried unanimously. General Information Mike Mahoney, from KLJ, provided an update on various airport projects. He stated the snow removal equipment building and the Taxiway D projects were nearing completion with the Taxiway D project approximately one month ahead of schedule. He indicated the apron project design is complete and should be a 2014 project. He also stated the passenger terminal project is waiting to be bid, pending the receipt of discretionary funds.
